Refund & Cancellation Policy

Platform fees charged by RoomFinderIndia on successful transactions are non-refundableonce the transaction is complete, except in cases of clear platform error or duplicate charge. Contact support@roomfinderindia.com within 7 days for such cases.

Rent paid through the Platform is forwarded to the landlord after verification (typically same day). Once forwarded, refunds must be negotiated directly with the landlord; we cannot reverse the payment.

Deposits placed in our escrow are held until one of the following:

• The tenant requests a refund and the landlord approves — full refund to tenant.
• The landlord claims deductions and the tenant accepts — split as agreed.
• A dispute is raised — our moderation team reviews and issues a decision, usually within 7 business days.

Disputed funds are held in escrow during review; no party can access them until resolution.

Customers may cancel a service booking at any time before the provider marks it as "in progress". Cancellation policy:

• Before provider accepts: no charge.
• After acceptance, before start: free if cancelled at least 24 hours before scheduled time; otherwise the provider may charge up to 25% of the quoted price.
• After start (in progress): work completed must be paid for; dispute via our support.

If we introduce paid subscriptions, a 7-day money-back guarantee applies to first-time purchases. Renewals are not refundable.

Email support@roomfinderindia.comwith your registered email, transaction ID, and reason. We respond within 2 business days and process approved refunds to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.

Unresolved complaints can be escalated to our Grievance Officer at grievance@roomfinderindia.com. We respond within the timelines specified under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021.
